Van Jones, the President’s senior adviser to the White House Council on Environmental Quality, has no definition of what makes a project “green.”
Thus far the vast majority of President Obama’s $787 billion stimulus package has not gone into the economy. As a result we do not yet know the extent of the effect it will have on things like health care, employment, taxation, or research and development initiatives.
One area that was a major focus of President Obama during his campaign and early days in office was starting a sort of Green Revolution in the United States. According to Newsweek, the White House committed $60 billion to “building a new green-based economy.”

One area where there has been some growth is in “weatherization” or making buildings and homes more energy efficient.
