I had my own close encounter with US intelligence in 1987 and watched the Iran Contra hearings religiously to try to get some clue as to what was going on. Until I heard North testify, I had no idea the CIA tapped peoples phones - or as it later leaked out engaged in narcotics trafficking. It was unthinkable. Talk about baptism by fire. I write about my experiences in my recent memoir THE MOST REVOLUTIONARY ACT: MEMOIR OF AN AMERICAN REFUGEE (I currently live in exile in New Zealand).

Great achievement,

Hydrogen fuel cell vehicle will be very helpful for trucking industry. In this recession period where other fuel prices are increasing this hydrogen fuel cell will be in great demand all over. If proper dealership is done than this vehicle can capture good market share.

Having spent half of my life working in the Alberta oil patch; much of it controlling oil wells, or "blowout prevention", I am baffled that the Gulf spill continues.

We know that they can insert a pipe into the leak - they already did so. so that isn't tough.

In a REAL oil well - on land - I think the trick would be to insert tubing that is much thinner than the leaking pipe. Then, using the compressed air line inside the tubing, inflate the donut ring on the outside of the tubing. Now you have an inflated plug in the leaking pipe. Your leak is over and an environmental disaster is averted.

So, If I thought of this, why didn't the engineers on the rig?

It's leaking because someone in charge wants it to leak. Even more worrisome is that the American government has better engineers than myself advising them - so they know too.

What does it all mean? That is beyond my expertise.

You are very wrong about these issues. The GOP is becoming more and more rational after losing its way under Bush. It promulgates no hatred. Racial prejudice, diminished productivity, and low expectations are the domains of the Left. When November comes, we'll see who is "stuck in the swamp," my friend.

But then, if you're part of the 47 percent who do not pay taxes and will "benefit" from the freebies purchased with higher taxes on the productive half, I suppose your only option is to be a democrat.

Now, you write that oh-so-meaningful response that no one will read.

Women who suffer from breast cancer no longer have to feel disfigured and embarrassed about their chests. Reconstructive procedures are improving all the time and
can do a lot get a more natural-looking figure back and put the trauma behind you.Although this procedure is safe and has very few complications, you may feel some pain for the first couple of days, especially when you are moving around to compromise mobility for few days and make sure you have someone to look after you for your thing to be done and get the best results out of it and avoid the breast cancer and stay healthy.

Just a few thoughts relating to the articles and some comments:
1.	There are several issues here—1) academic freedom for teachers of advanced placement high school classes; 2) the need for American students to increase their international testing results that show them to be way behind internationally in reading, writing, math and critical thinking; 3) the need to force students to think based on the evidence available; 4) the legal duties and opportunities of the schools when they are in loco parentis; 4) the Constitutional meanings and conflicts between “freedom of religion” and “freedom of speech”; and, 5) the ability of the Supreme Court to make a decision on Constitutional law—when judicial prejudices continually influence their decisions.
2.	The schools are in loco parentis, that is ‘in place of the parents.’ Parents who don’t want their children intellectually challenged should do home schooling or find a private school that will not challenge their children’s unproven assumptions. (These assumptions are discussed in detail in Book 4 of the popular free ebook series “In Search of Utopia.” (Even science rests on assumptions.)
3. “Freedom of speech’ , according to the Supreme Court is now protected even more than the earlier idea that we don’t have the right to yell ‘fire’ in a crowded theater. The recent decisions give us the right to yell “Let’s kill all the Jews tomorrow” but not the right to yell “Follow me, let’s kill all the Jews right now.” A decision this month in Snyder v. Phelps. In which a dead soldier’s funeral was picketed by a Baptist congregation at a Catholic church carrying signs with messages such as “Thank God for dead soldiers” an calling all soldiers homosexuals. The father of the soldier sued because the demonstration reduced the solemnity of the occasion that should have honored his son. The court’s award of $10 million was overturned by the 4th Circuit Court and will go to the Supreme Court. Will the five conservative Catholics vote their religion and overturn the appellate court?
4.	The original meaning of “freedom of speech” and other Constitutional protections, such as ex post facto according to Madison and Jefferson were changed in early Supreme Court decisions. (See above referenced book for more details.)
5.	It would seem that an intellectual debate between the teacher and the boy’s parents would be enlightening. We might see the strengths and weaknesses of the evidence used to arrive at their opinions.

People used to think it was necessary to "spank" adult members of the community, military trainees, and prisoners. In some countries they still do. In our country, it is considered sexual battery if a person over the age of 18 is "spanked", but only if over the age of 18.

For one thing, because the buttocks are so close to the genitals and so multiply linked to sexual nerve centers, striking them can trigger powerful and involuntary sexual stimulus in some people. There are numerous physiological ways in which it can be sexually abusive, but I won't list them all here. One can use the resources I've posted if they want to learn more. All materials listed may be accessed at the website of Parents and Teachers Against Violence In Education at www.nospank.net.

Child buttock-battering vs. DISCIPLINE:

Child buttock-battering (euphemistically labeled "spanking","swatting","switching","smacking", "paddling",or other cute-sounding names) for the purpose of gaining compliance is nothing more than an inherited bad habit.

Its a good idea for people to take a look at what they are doing, and learn how to DISCIPLINE instead of hit.

I think the reason why television shows like "Supernanny" and "Dr. Phil" are so popular is because that is precisely what many (not all) people are trying to do.

There are several reasons why child bottom-slapping isn't a good idea. Here are some good, quick reads recommended by professionals:

Plain Talk About Spanking
by Jordan Riak,

The Sexual Dangers of Spanking Children
by Tom Johnson,

NO VITAL ORGANS THERE, So They Say
by Lesli Taylor M.D. and Adah Maurer Ph.D.

Most compelling of all reasons to abandon this worst of all bad habits is the fact that buttock-battering can be unintentional sexual abuse for some children. There is an abundance of educational resources, testimony, documentation, etc available on the subject that can easily be found by doing a little research with the recommended reads-visit the website of Parents and Teachers Against Violence In Education at www.nospank.net.

Just a handful of those helping to raise awareness of why child bottom-slapping isn't a good idea:

American Academy of Pediatrics,
American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry,
American Psychological Association,
Center For Effective Discipline,
Churches' Network For Non-Violence,
Nobel Peace Prize recipient Archbishop Desmond Tutu,
Parenting In Jesus' Footsteps,
Global Initiative To End All Corporal Punishment of Children,
United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.

In 26 countries, child corporal punishment is prohibited by law (with more in process). In fact, the US was the only UN member that did not ratify the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

Absolutely ethical capitalism is perfectly possible.

Money is just a way of measuring trade. That's all. It's just a form of writing, it's about as abused as writing is. It can be a tool of empowerment or enlightenment as much as it can be a tool of oppression & exploitation.

Most of the people handling money are indeed doing so in good faith. If everybody behaved the way that the most brutal people do, the whole system would (and still does) break down. It's a question of culture rather than a flaw in the system.

Fraud & mismanagement is a problem like spam. Those who are mucking about are far more noticeable than those who behave well.

Of course, just like spam, those who misbehave reap big short term profits. And we figure out those scams & create an immune response to them.

However, we've got a really big problem with the whole layout of the economic structure called "capitalism", power rests in the hands of a minority who have a minimal grasp of the fine grained mechanics of the underlying structures. That's what we need to fix: the feedback and accountability in the system is inherently poor.

The people who run big shows are looking at graphs, not realities.

The CEOs who run businesses with an eye on the business not an eye on the money, they're the people who make sense. Those should be the people holding the financial power. Just as monarchs should consider their position a responsibility not a privilege, so should capitalists look to govern rather than profit.

What a weak article.
I have been to hundreds of protests and rallies and have never seen anything or anyone racist. To you whiners, racism is mere criticism. If this is the case you are CAUSING the racism, because many of us vow we won’t ever even vote for a CONSERVATIVE black if we’re not going to be allowed to criticize him harshly as well!

Now that said, your article lacks credibility right off the bat when you say only 100,000 showed up on 9/12. Try 1.7 MILLION my friend! :-)

And growing daily I might add. We have plenty of ethnic groups with us, but unlike progressives who pimp them for a purpose, we don’t take a head count or ask them what color or nationality they are!!! It is of no consequence. All are invited. Likewise, if they are religious, they have the right to be.
If there is any blatant racism, it’s found in Obama’s terrible books.

Finally, stop calling Obama an ‘African American’. He is half caucasian American and half Indonesian black…

He also once told an opponent in a debate that it was OK that he was not born here, because he wasn’t (at the time) running for president. In his birthplace in Kenya, they are erecting a memorial and his grandmother there said she witnessed the birth! Numerous headlines heralded that a Kenyan was elected to the Senate, under the “New Party” banner… (socialist)

To question his citizenship is not racist. If it can be cleared up, why did he spend over $1M to hide his original birth papers? We have the right to question, but not if you are living under the kind of fascism this man’s handlers would like to see.

To us, you progressives who want government control over every aspect of our lives are the ‘nazis’. After all they are the socialists aren’t they?

Either a House or Senate bill, that releases millions of foreign workers into our country, will devastate the public safety net. As it is now--California--a SANCTUARY STATE--is under constant bombardment to support uncounted numbers of foreign invaders on the health care, education and penal system. America's largest population of illegal immigrants, California bears a huge cost to provide basic human services for this fast growing, illegal low-income segment of its population. A new study from the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) examines the costs of education, health care and incarceration of illegal aliens, and concludes that the costs to Californians is $10.5 billion annually. California voters rebelled and overwhelmingly passed Proposition 187, which sought to limit liability for mass illegal immigration. Since then, state and local governments have blatantly ignored the wishes of the voters and continued to pay out publicly financed benefits on illegal families. Prop 187 was brought before Judge Mariana Pfaelzer, who in November 1997 found the law to be unconstitutional. Governor Wilson appealed the ruling, which brought the case to the federal Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. (who are extremist Liberals) In 1999, newly elected Democratic Governor Gray Davis had the case brought before mediation, and then intentionally dropped the appeals process before the courts, effectively killing the law so it--NEVER--reached the Supreme Court. Dan Stein, President of FAIR stated, "California's addiction to 'cheap' illegal alien labor is bankrupting the state and posing enormous burdens on the state's SHRINKING MIDDLE CLASS TAX BASE," he added "Most Californians, who have seen their taxes increase while public services deteriorate, already know the impact that mass illegal immigration is having on their communities, but even they may be shocked when they learn just how much of a drain illegal immigration has become. After these fiscal numbers were released, there seem to be an intentional reluctance to offer costs for both legal and illegal immigrant cost to the US taxpayer.

"This is owing to a Sacramento Liberal Assembly, which has edged the state to near bankruptcy. Only by the interruption of multi-millions of American citizens, legal residents and congregations of anti-illegal immigration groups will America prevail. Here is the Capitol switchboard number to call 202-224-3121 because your vote is needed to stop any AMNESTY. The last 1986 Immigration bill was never aggressively enforced, that is why millions of illegal immigrants roam freely throughout America? The blame can be placed upon previous administrations as they have always been in collusion with the business, including Wall Street that is the real mechanism that governs our country? That is--WHY--we are taxed to subsidize--CORPORATE WELFARE--with incredulous numbers of lowly paid illegal wages and no benefits. THIS IS ALL ABOUT CORPORATE GREED and the complete indifference to the AMERICAN WORKERS SURVIVAL AND AN OVERPOPULATION FUTURE.

In a study from the National Bureau of Economic Research, based on the Census Bureau’s Survey of Income and Program Participation, analyzed the cost of immigrants based on their specific use of (means-tested) welfare entitlements (both direct and indirect), and revealed that the total immigrant receipt of benefits in--1996--came to $180 billion. THAT IS $ ONE HUNDRED & EIGHTY BILLION IN 1996? WHAT ARE THE EXPENDITURES NOW? Today's costs if audited would support some foreign governments treasuries. Obama and his army of pro-illegal worker lobbyist, faith groups, unions, anti-sovereignty Caucuses, to adjoin and undermine our voting system, by organizing huge numbers who will automatically vote in favor of the Democratic party.

There are thousands of pro-sovereignty, anti-illegal immigration organizations that are fighting to halt another demented AMNESTY. So if what President Obama has stated that he will approve a so-called Comprehensive Immigration Reform bill, with the approval of the Democratic Party leadership will be a devastating Armageddon. Last Tuesday, December 15, Congressman Luis V. Gutierrez introduced this proposed law, called the Comprehensive Immigration Reform for America’s Security and Prosperity Act of 2009 (CIR ASAP).More than ever before it would be to the advantage of all the Anti-AMNESTY groups to unify and mobilize every organizations such as NUMBERSUSA, FAIR, CAPSWEB, ALIPAC, AMERICAN PATROL, JUDICIAL WATCH and every opponent group to join a massive build-up against this dark foreboding issue. Most of the American population has absolutely no conception of the implication surrounding this outrageous bill. But any bill legalizing foreign nationals who have scorned our laws is unconstitutional, without THE PEOPLE'S absolute permission.

The millions of illegal people here would pay small fine of $500.00 dollars, learn English and pass a criminal background check. The law suggested stripping police officers of their federally-sanctioned (287 g) powers that detains individuals for immigration and visa violations, according to The Chicago Tribune. Sen. Harry Reid, Pelosi, Napolitano, Schumer and others know that our only true deterrent E-Verify will be obsolete? This is just for those 20 to 30 million illegal aliens and families who live within this nation borders now. Even more millions will be waiting outside the borders, ready to make the rush for US soil, before the president signs the AMNESTY (CIR ASAP) document. THAT WILL BE THE HIGHEST PINNACLE OF MADNESS, FORCED UPON THE AMERICAN WORKER. THEY WILL HAVE TO COMPETE WITH THOSE ALREADY HERE AND THOSE WHO SUDDENLY SWARM INTO AMERICA. All these destitute, unskilled people will need food, housing and welfare support to exist in our society.

We all know the astronomical costs attributed to the illegal immigration invasion over many decades in education, health care and incarceration. So get on the phone and insist as a voter for your lawmaker to vote for THE SAVE ACT (H.R. 3308) and be relentless. One main enforcement tools is E-Verify, that discloses and removes illegal workers from job locations. The capitol switchboard number is 202-224-3121. Also bombard the House-Senate policy makers with 28 cent postcards, to stop the open border organizations from engineering another Comprehensive Immigration reform or AMNESTY. GOOGLE and investigate the terrible consequences of illegal immigrants and families, demanding rights in the--SANCTUARY STATE OF CALIFORNIA. On the brink of bankruptcy, overcrowded schools where English is a second language, and Liberal-Marxist-Extremist politicians in Sacramento, spending the peoples money to subsidize the low incomes of millions illegal foreign nationals. EXPECT A FINANCIAL cataclysmic nightmare, if AMNESTY passes.

Bad as it is now millions more will enter America without permission causing even more chaos. Honest legal immigrants will be dumbfounded, when they learn illegal aliens will pay only $500 dollars to get legitimate status, While those people who went through the government inspection process and attorney filling fees for $2,500 dollars or more wait for years to be accepted.

Tell them to amend the 1986 Immigration Reform Act and not another travesty that was a total disaster to taxpayers. Virginia Abernethy, Ph.D., former chief statistician for the Bureau of the Census said in September 2006 at a speech in Washington DC, that there has been a intentional undercount going on, so that the claimed figure over the 305-million population did not happen in 2005 but instead as early as-- 2001. Those who believe in America’s survival, without OVERPOPULATION as stated by the US Census bureau better read the facts, not the lies at NUMBERSUSA. Those who want details of corruption in WASHINGTON and state government go to JUDICIAL WATCH. For Overpopulation statistics, should go to CAPSWEB. Other sites of interest on Immigration enforcement is ALIPAC and AMERICAN PATROL

In my home town of Phoenix we actually saw a $3,ooo median home value increase from Oct to Nov... Although this market in particular is probably one of the most regressed in the Union. We also saw residential resales move to about 5500, up from 3300 this same time last year. So it's not all bad. hehe, ok still pretty bad.

With the weak job market, a new wave of Foreclosed houses in Phoenix is expected for first quarter '10, according to an ASU real estate professor.

California's water delivery system was built when the state's population was 16 million and there were no environmental regulations limiting resource exploitation. The population is now 36 million, headed towards 50 million in the next 20 years, and we're saddled with overlapping, exacting regulations. The water crisis is real. It has removed hundreds of billions of gallons of annual water supply from Southern California and the Central Valley, and it's causing water rates to skyrocket and is forcing mandatory conservation measures on homes and businesses.

There is no privatization effort. Public agencies operating under "sunshine" laws are leading this effort, led by the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California. There is no significant private water conveyance system in the state - all are either federally or state owned, i.e., publicly owned. There are no "new dams" in the recently passed legislation - at most one new reservoir, more probably it will be groundwater storage. No rivers will be sucked dry because the entire concept's success hinges on the successful restoration of the Delta - without that, it won't be possible under today's environmental laws to continue to pull water from it. Even then, the plan is to never exceed established withdrawal levels; there is no plan, and no way, to extract more.

There are plenty of small farmers throughout the Central Valley. When was the last time you visited there? I have traveled there and I've seen them and talked to them. They are not myth, and they need water if they are to continue to grow YOUR fruits and vegetables.

Resnik is one guy with one large ag operation, but he hardly is some Wizard of Oz behind the curtain. He's a relatively small player in California water - just another agricultural water user, albeit a big one. Farm operations, while they got a pathway to a more reliable water source in the recent legislation, were powerless to stop provisions requiring monitoring and reporting on groundwater levels, new conservation requirements on farms, and new provisions to prosecute illegal water diversions - so where's his mighty power? (I am totally with you on Fiji Water though; there is no place for bottled water in our system any more.)

The water crisis is real. The fix is complicated and expensive. Without it, the California economy will crash and crash hard, with very real and very human pain and suffering. To learn more about water follow www (dot) twitter (dot) com (slash) LPAwater.

California’s water delivery system was built when the state’s population was 16 million and there were no environmental regulations limiting resource exploitation. The population is now 36 million, headed towards 50 million in the next 20 years, and we’re saddled with overlapping, exacting regulations. The water crisis is real. It has removed hundreds of billions of gallons of annual water supply from Southern California and the Central Valley, and it’s causing water rates to skyrocket and is forcing mandatory conservation measures on homes and businesses.

There is no privatization effort. Public agencies operating under “sunshine” laws are leading this effort, led by the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California. There is no significant private water conveyance system in the state – all are either federally or state owned, i.e., publicly owned. There are no “new dams” in the recently passed legislation – at most one new reservoir, more probably it will be groundwater storage. No rivers will be sucked dry because the entire concept’s success hinges on the successful restoration of the Delta – without that, it won’t be possible under today’s environmental laws to continue to pull water from it. Even then, the plan is to never exceed established withdrawal levels; there is no plan, and no way, to extract more.

There are plenty of small farmers throughout the Central Valley. When was the last time you visited there? I have traveled there and I’ve seen them and talked to them. They are not myth, and they need water if they are to continue to grow YOUR fruits and vegetables.

Resnik is one guy with one large ag operation, but he hardly is some Wizard of Oz behind the curtain. He’s a relatively small player in California water – just another agricultural water user, albeit a big one. Farm operations, while they got a pathway to a more reliable water source in the recent legislation, were powerless to stop provisions requiring monitoring and reporting on groundwater levels, new conservation requirements on farms, and new provisions to prosecute illegal water diversions – so where’s his mighty power? (I am totally with you on Fiji Water though; there is no place for bottled water in our system any more.)

The water crisis is real. The fix is complicated and expensive. Without it, the California economy will crash and crash hard, with very real and very human pain and suffering. To learn more about water follow www (dot) twitter (dot) com (slash) LPAwater.

We think that today's administration under President Obama or previous political parties had a goal of enforcing our immigration laws. But corrupt politicians intervened on behalf of the open border fanatics and special interest lobbyists. As with E-Verify that has become a spotlighted enforcement law, because it was originally nearly tabled by Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV) and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA). But public uproar caused them to forcibly change their decisions and fully fund E-Verify for another 3 years. WITHOUT PUBLIC SUPPORT THEY WOULD NOT HAVE CAVED-IN? Right now it is the--ONLY--true enforcement tool implemented, but it is only as good--IF--business owners are forced to use it. Even though hundreds of thousands of companies have now decided to apply it, yet it is not MANDATORY? It is up to the discretion of employers? In a few states Representatives have introduced it into law, as with the fed's issuing an ultimatum that all contractors/subcontractors must use E-Verify. Remember E-Verify does not need buses for deportation? Those here will self-deport. It will take time, but without access to jobs--THEY EVENTUALLY WILL LEAVE. THEY CALL IT "ATTRITION?"

Justifiably bloggers should be either criticized for their anti-sovereignty stand, or praised for informing the unaware public of the taxpayers money needed to fund a 2009-2010 Comprehensive Immigration Reform. Rewarding the millions already illegally squatting here, with the costs to support families, children and those kin who will come here through sponsorship. THEN THE MILLIONS MORE WHO HAVE HEARD THE CALL FOR AMNESTY AND RUSH TO GET HERE FROM POOR NATIONS, BEFORE THE NEW LAW MATERIALIZES?

House Judiciary Committee's Ranking Member Lamar Smith (R-Texas) wrote an op-ed for the Washington Times today He stated that the Washington Times had slammed the Obama Administration for hardened enforcement. While the opposite reaction came from the open border advocates saying there was too much enforcement. However Rep. Smith determined the opposite? This is his statement:-

    * Rescinding of the "no-match" rule that prevents the Social Security Administration from contacting employers when a new hires name and social security number don't match their records. "Without this protection, many employers will continue to employ individuals they know are illegal and are taking jobs that should go to citizens and legal residents," Smith said.
    * Repeal of REAL ID in lieu of PASS ID, which makes it easier for illegal aliens to obtain a driver's license. "This makes it easier for illegal immigrants to stay in the country. And it can provide terrorists with a legitimate ID - as we saw with the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorists, who between them obtained 30 driver's licenses and ID cards," Smith said.
    * Lack of funding for an airport biometric exit system that is part of a DHS proposal to monitor when foreign visitors leave the country. "40 percent of all 12 million to 20 million illegal immigrants in the United States entered the country legally but overstayed their visas. This program will show who did not leave the country when they should have," Smith said.
    * Restricted the 287(g) program by limiting the ways local law enforcement officials can help federal immigration enforcement officials.
    * No funding for border fence, which was required by the Secure Fence Act of 2006.
    * Signing the CHIP bill making it easier for illegal aliens to get health care.
    * Reduced work site enforcement by shifting the focus away from the illegal workers and onto the businesses that hire them.
    * Allow states to provide in-state tuition to illegal aliens even though it violate federal law.

Reading the Washington Times indicates to me, that they are pro illegal immigration, that is not in the American workers interest. They have consistently reacted to any enforcement of laws. They are obviously adverse to any immigration restriction, as the majority of the national press have indicated to us. Unlike the rural media who do not condone DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano's rush to OVERPOPULATION through another HEALTH CARE REFORM? BLANKET AMNESTY? Grade your Senator of Congressman/Woman on NUMBERSUSA website. Call them and reprimand them for approving another AMNESTY or anything else at 202-224-3121. The people of America have been blindsided to long and must become more involved. We all no by now we cannot trust our government anymore to do the right thing for all of us. To survive we must fight back or financially--SINK. Washington is truly a corrupt place, where taxpayers money is the bargaining chip.
In reading these two "Plutonomy" reports, I find them badly written, with punctuation errors, containing repeated slang and colloquialisms, too many "I" and "we" first person references, a boorish misplaced overconfidence, misstated understanding of some of the statistical data presented from limited sources, too many references to just one book, and overall an oversimplified thesis that shows a breathtaking lack of knowledge of finance and economics. It is a wonder that Citigroup paid for badly written junk like this to be published to their clients and beyond.

J. Edgar Hoover and the FBI approached this subject from the standpoint of how groups like the Birch Society were undermining the confidence of Americans in their political leaders and institutions.

To quote a Texas Democrat, "I'd vote against putting a cheese factory on the moon, but if the rest of Congress insists on putting that factory up there, I'd sure want Texas to get its fair share."

The money for the Stimulus will not only come from the States whose Reps and Senators voted for it. It will come from the children of us all.

By the same token, NASA is not only a Texas enterprise, it is a *National* endeavor and the benefits will be *national,* too.

Top scientists say revolutionary clean power climate control project will reduce wildfires and dangerous weather while improving the lives of billions of people.

Climatologists, biologists and physicists from all corners of the globe agree that U.S. based Gravitational Systems, L.L.C.'s revolutionary clean power climate control project INDRA will improve the lives of billions of people around the world. Concerns have been raised about the projects impact on biodiversity as deserts are terraformed to rainforests.

Gare Henderson, director of research and development for Gravitational Systems, L.L.C. ( a clean power developer), explains that the INDRA project, a proposed network of specialized evaporation channels moving sea water from the oceans toward the deserts, will convert world deserts into biodiverse rainforests. Deserts which cover 1/3 of all dry land will be terraformed into productive land. The INDRA systems will give mankind control of the weather, ending dangerous storms such as hurricanes, typhoons, tornadoes, and dry heat waves within a decade. Vast rivers can be turned on and off in hours, and reservoirs and salt marshes drained or replenished in days. The increased bio-mass of the terraformed deserts will begin to reverse both global warming and thermal sea level rise. UNFCCC cap and trade certification of the INDRA project will allow individuals and business to fund the plan through carbon offsets. The initial projects will be targeted north American, and north African deserts.

Of all the Immigration enforcements laws that really works E-Verify has settled in to removing illegal immigrants from the workplace. But there is a "Sunset Provision" that could determine its future, since it’s specially working for the millions of jobless Americans? Supposedly E-Verification expires on September 30, only days after a Federal judge turned down a desperate delay from the despicable Special interest lobbyists led by the US Chamber of Commerce. On September 8 E-Verify, a contingency of the SAVE ACT was fully implemented mandating that all federal contractors and sub-contractors--MUST--use this computerized identification system.
The American people must understand their is tremendous pressure on anemic members of both political parties to dismantle, store or hinder the E-Verify process as they are the puppets of rich business enterprises.

We must endeavor to continue on raising our voices against the powerful forces that think nothing more than to destroy this valuable commodity called E-Verify. Overtime it will rid from every workplaces of millions of illegal workers, who think they are safe from government intervention. It will save billions of dollars being exported to other lands and sever the tolerant welfare programs, health care, education accessed by illegal low wage earners.

Of all the Immigration enforcements laws that really works E-Verify has settled in to removing illegal immigrants from the workplace. But there is a “Sunset Provision” that could determine its future, since it’s specially working for the millions of jobless Americans? Supposedly E-Verification expires on September 30, only days after a Federal judge turned down a desperate delay from the despicable Special interest lobbyists led by the US Chamber of Commerce. On September 8 E-Verify, a contingency of the SAVE ACT was fully implemented mandating that all federal contractors and sub-contractors–MUST–use this computerized identification system.

The expedited message will spread and these lawbreakers will realize that it’s fruitless to keep on applying for jobs. Eventually families will start to pack-up and depart for every corner of the earth.
My own personal opinion is that now that most of us Boomers are in our late 50's and early 60's, the generation that came behind us (who are now in their late 30's to early 50's) didn't get to experience all the hell we raised in the 60's and 70's in the form of protests, marches, and other civil disobedience. It's how we got things done; it's the only way the White House, Congress and the Courts pay attention to the will of the people. They start realizing that no matter how many millions they get in campaign contributions, the voters are going to kick their asses out in the next election because they aren't listening.
As you can see.....
Tthe status quo of this new middle age generation, who should be standing up for themselves and don't, iis to sit back, wait, and let someone else do the heavy lifting.
It's sad.
I guess us old farts have to get back into the streets and give them some leadership.

In my Tract <a href="http://tract.yield-curve.net/" rel="nofollow">The Age of Turbulence: Plea for a New Economic Order,</a> I explain the nature and causes of economic depressions.

<b><i>A turbulence in fluid mechanic is a chaotic state of a liquid. It Owns Most of the Proprieties of The Liquidity Trap, Origin of The Crash, it is a filled with Random Phenomenon and Discontinuities.</i></b>

It <i><b>proves</b></i> that after the inflation of the Mother of all Asset Price Bubbles the ominous fate of this economy is Keynes' Liquidity Trap.

Its consequences are a new, bigger Crash causing, this time, a <b><i>Real Great Depression II</i></b>.

That bipolarity of the Market is the problem: any irrationally exuberant person, as any psychiatrist would tell, is unable to understand that he is irrational and that he will necessarily fall in a deep depression. He just doesn't want to hear the warning no matter how many times he had the experience.

<b><i>What do we do Before The Crash?</i></b>

My Strategy: <a href="http://strategy.yield-curve.net/" rel="nofollow">Preparing for the Crash, The Age of Turbulence.</a> answers that question.

Using the yield curve as a predictor that strategy covers Treasuries, Corporate Bonds, Minerals (Oil, Precious Metals and Base Metals.) and Stocks.

Its aim is to profit from both the Asset Price Bubble and Irrational Exuberance and The Crash and Economic Depression that will necessarily ensue.

It tries, and for the time being very profitably, to accomplish Alan Greenspan Mission Impossible:

<i>"That is mission impossible. Indeed, the international financial community has made numerous efforts in recent years to establish such oversight, but none prevented or ameliorated the crisis that began last summer.</i><i>

Much as we might wish otherwise, policy makers cannot reliably anticipate financial or economic shocks or the consequences of economic imbalances.</i><i>

Financial crises are characterised by discontinuous breaks in market pricing the timing of which by definition must be unanticipated - if people see them coming, then the markets arbitrage them away."</i><i>

....

The clear evidence of underpricing of risk did not prod private sector risk management to tighten the reins.</i><i>

In retrospect, it appears that the most market-savvy managers, although conscious that they were taking extraordinary risks, succumbed to the concern that unless they continued to "get up and dance", as ex-Citigroup CEO Chuck Prince memorably put it, they would irretrievably lose market share.</i><i>

Instead, they gambled that they could keep adding to their risky positions and still sell them out before the deluge. <b>Most were wrong</b>."</i>

<i><b>But what do we do After The Crash?</b></i>

I propose a plausible alternative solution to the Depression: I designed a System that will allow us, when The Crash will come, to get out of Credit Based Free Market Economy, Capitalism, and transfer to my Adjusted Credit Free, Free Market Economy and Abolish the FED:

To participate in our New Economic Order you need to <a href="http://cash.yield-curve.net/" rel="nofollow">Enter Your €5 in The Cra$h R€gi$t€r <b><i>Before The Crash - It is Fr€€!.</i></b></a>.

I.10.82

<i>"People of the same trade seldom meet together, even for merriment and diversion, but the conversation ends in a conspiracy against the public, or in some contrivance to raise prices.</i><i>

It is impossible indeed to prevent such meetings, by any law which either could be executed, or would be consistent with liberty and justice.</i><i>

But though the law cannot hinder people of the same trade from sometimes assembling together, it ought to do nothing to facilitate such assemblies; much less to render them necessary.</i>

I.10.83

<i>A regulation which obliges all those of the same trade in a particular town to enter their names and places of abode in <b>a public register</b>, facilitates such assemblies. It connects individuals who might never otherwise be known to one another, and gives every man of the trade a direction where to find every other man of it.</i>

I.10.84

<i>A regulation which enables those of the same trade to tax themselves in order to provide for their poor, their sick, their widows and orphans, by giving them a common interest to manage, renders such assemblies necessary."</i>

In my Tract The Age of Turbulence: Plea for a New Economic Order, I explain the nature and causes of economic depressions.

A turbulence in fluid mechanic is a chaotic state of a liquid. It Owns Most of the Proprieties of The Liquidity Trap, Origin of The Crash, it is a filled with Random Phenomenon and Discontinuities.

It proves that after the inflation of the Mother of all Asset Price Bubbles the ominous fate of this economy is Keynes’ Liquidity Trap.

Its consequences are a new, bigger Crash causing, this time, a real Great Depression II.

That bipolarity of the Market is the problem an person who is irrationally exuberant, as any psychiatrist would tell, is unable to understand that he will necessarily fall in a deep depression. He just doesn’t want to hear the warning no matter how many times he had that experience.

What do we do Before The Crash?

Preparing for the Crash, The Age of Turbulence. Proposes a strategy to profit from both the Irrational Exuberance and from the Crash.

“That is mission impossible. Indeed, the international financial community has made numerous efforts in recent years to establish such oversight, but none prevented or ameliorated the crisis that began last summer.

Much as we might wish otherwise, policy makers cannot reliably anticipate financial or economic shocks or the consequences of economic imbalances.

Financial crises are characterised by discontinuous breaks in market pricing the timing of which by definition must be unanticipated – if people see them coming, then the markets arbitrage them away.”

….

The clear evidence of underpricing of risk did not prod private sector risk management to tighten the reins.

In retrospect, it appears that the most market-savvy managers, although conscious that they were taking extraordinary risks, succumbed to the concern that unless they continued to “get up and dance”, as ex-Citigroup CEO Chuck Prince memorably put it, they would irretrievably lose market share.

Instead, they gambled that they could keep adding to their risky positions and still sell them out before the deluge. Most were wrong.”

The article: <a href="http://blog.yield-curve.net/2009/07/systemic-bernanke.html" rel="nofollow">Ben "Systemic Risk" Bernanke</a> proves that Bernanke knowingly maintained a strict monetary policy long after he knew of the sub prime problem as he knew it would cause of the "Depression".

It shows that he probably engineered it on purpose!

<b><i>If you want to sleep tonight, Don't Read It!</i></b>

<i>"In contradiction to the prevalent view of the time, that money and monetary policy played at most a purely passive role in the Depression, Friedman and Schwartz argued that <b>"the [economic] contraction is in fact a tragic testimonial to the importance of monetary forces"</b> (Friedman and Schwartz, 1963, p. 300).
.....

The slowdown in economic activity, together with high interest rates, was in all likelihood the most important source of the stock market crash that followed in October.

In other words, the market crash, rather than being the cause of the Depression, as popular legend has it, was in fact largely the result of an economic slowdown and <b>the inappropriate monetary policies that preceded it.</b>

Of course, the stock market crash only worsened the economic situation, hurting consumer and business confidence and contributing to a still deeper downturn in 1930."</i>

Here are the facts:

What is Diethylene Glycol? The MSDS2 shows that chronic exposure to Diethylene Glycol can cause lesions on the liver and kidneys, as well as damage to the same organs. In the case of inhalation, the only first aid recommended is removal from the source to fresh air. The toxicalogical information is as follows:

Quote:
Oral rat LD50: 12565 mg/kg. Skin rabbit LD50: 11.89 g/kg Irritation: eye rabbit, standard Draize: 50 mg mild. Investigated as a tumorigen and reproductive effector.
--------\Cancer Lists\------------------------------------------------------
---NTP Carcinogen---
Ingredient Known Anticipated IARC Category
------------------------------------ ----- ----------- -------------
Diethylene Glycol (111-46-6) No No None
This shows that Diethylene Glycol is not a known carcinogen, nor is it expected to be found as one in the future. In addition, the dose required to kill half of the sample of rats tested is 12.565 g/kg and 11.89 g/kg for rabbits. Assuming this can be extended to humans, an average adult male would have to ingest 855.925 g to receive a lethal dose.
Is Diethylene Glycol the main ingredient in antifreeze? The EPA3 has this to say about antifreeze variations:

Quote:
Antifreeze typically contains ethylene glycol as its active ingredient, but some manufacturers market propylene glycol-based antifreeze, which is less toxic to humans and pets. The acute, or short-term, toxicity of propylene glycol, especially in humans, is substantially lower than that of ethylene glycol. Regardless of which active ingredient the spent antifreeze contains, heavy metals contaminate the antifreeze during service. When contaminated, particularly with lead, used antifreeze can be considered hazardous and should be reused, recycled, or disposed of properly.
Ethylene Glycol is the main ingredient in antifreeze. While straight antifreeze is toxic, the main hazard is from used antifreeze, which absorbs heavy metals.

What about Nitrosamines? Nitrosamines are carcinogens. Tobacco specific nitrosamines (TSNAs) are found in the liquid used by Ruyan in their cartridges. According to the Health New Zealand report1, the amount increases with the amount of nicotine, and the average is 3.928 Ng (or parts per billion [ppb]). The breakdown is as follows:

Quote:
Nitrosamines
0mg - 0.260 Ng (ppb)
6mg - 3.068 Ng
11mg - 4.200 Ng
16mg - 8.183 Ng
The highest amount found was in 16mg liquid, which had an average of 8.183 Ng. In comparison, Nicorette Gum (which is approved as an NRT) contains about 8 Ng. To put that number into perspective, Swedish moist snuff contains between 1000 and 2400 ppb nitrosamines, and unburned tobacco from cigarettes contains around 1230 ppb.

"Some Chinese companies may have made drywall with a radioactive substance banned in the United States."
According to fedderal and state experts there are no test have proven this in there testing results. this is what we do know:

Like I said we have more questions than answers though there is much to be learned about the effects of the CDW. There is enough known about the product to enable us to identify it with reasonable certainty. The CDW contains levels of strontium sulphide which are higher levels than in American dry wall; also the CDW contains 5% organic material. We saw evidence that in allot of the contaminated homes, the plastic around the wiring had been penetrated and the gases can reach as far as 5 feet below the concrete slab.

It appears the damage is more severe than first thought in some homes when inspected completely. Just pulling samples does not give a full picture of the collateral damage. Some of the experts argue that, once the exposed to the sulphide, deterioration is progressive and will continue even if the dry wall is removed. There are a number of highly qualified and reliable experts who agree that the only remedy for this problem is removal and replacement of the dry wall as well as the exposed soft wire. There are still some investigations underway that exploring less invasive and costly means of repair. We still do not know of any generally accepted remedial measures, short of removal and replacement, which will definitely eliminate the problem. The most puzzling phenomena was that in some homes tested when they went back the next day to take air samples those sample came back negative. Now how is that, when the first set of samples comes back positive? It is still unclear about the health effects but in private sessions with some toxicologist they feel there may be some bad adverse health effects depending on the exposure time.

Ok to complicate matters, standard comprehensive general liability insurance policies which typically cover general contractors may not afford much relief. Many of the policies include absolute pollution exclusions which bar coverage for any losses arising from “pollution”. Even policies that do not have absolute exclusions typically offer only partial coverage. Thus, one of the most expensive items of repair – the cost of removing and replacing the drywall is likely not covered. If this is the case a home owner may be left pursuing enormous damages from contractors, suppliers or manufactures with little or no available insurance coverage. Unless these defendants have substantial assets, home owners could be left with very limited options.

ONLY THE DECISION OF EVERY AMERICAN AND LEGAL RESIDENT, BY CONTACTING YOUR SENATOR OR REPRESENTATIVE WILL PUT A STOP TO AN 8th AMNESTY!

The 1986 Simpson/Mazzoli Immigration bill is--NOT BROKEN--is just has never been enforced. Sen.Ted Kennedy a liberal, would never have voted, assisted in drafting it 23 years ago, if it was broken? NO! It's just another excuse to push through another path to citizenship--or AMNESTY. Obama promised open door sessions, but the Democrat leadership allowed no press or even Republicans to enter immigration reform discussion. President Obama promised transparency when it comes to all major issues and illegal immigration invasion is certainly a flash-point of major issues facing the taxpayer. It's completely beyond any comprehension that Washington, would look for votes to pass this so-called immigration reform, when there are 11 percent jobless Americans and legal residents in our nation?

Sen Chuck Schumer and the usual conspirators are trying to blind-side the American people with a new business illegal immigration extraction tool. Same as all the creations, to pass another AMNESTY. Already his Sen. friend Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Janet Napolitano have crippled the American Worker, by denying E-Verify in the earlier Stimulus bill. That for a start would have made sure the estimated 300.000 illegal laborers, would not have been hired for infrastructure and construction jobs. Now we are supposed to trust them with their so-called path to citizenship. It's AMNESTY by any other word! It means the US worker gets the-rough-end-of-the pineapple again by our elected officials. 1. How do the hope to process 12 to 20 plus foreign nationals? ALL AT ONCE? What a laugh? 2. Probably the biggest enigma is OVERPOPULATION?

Once the process is rolling, do you think that the people waiting on the other side of the fence are going to go home. That's the biggest joke on the American worker, the US people? Then what about absolutely insaneness of family unification? Millions more will enter the pipeline? They would eventually have to call our troops back from Germany, Japan and South Korea--TO HOLD BACK THE STAMPEDE. We cannot and should not enter into any more AMNESTIES, as it will cause devastation on our open lands.

Urban sprawl with all its ugly ramifications of clogged traffic, unavailability of potable water and a failing infrastructure and even worse--chronic poverty than we already have in the inner cities? We cannot afford the costs that have been estimated to be around $2.5 trillion dollars, just to process whoever is here already--according to the Heritage Foundation. If these people want to come here, then they should return first, to their homelands and arrange all the processing from the other-side of our make-believe sealed border? We are already supporting undesirables in our federal and state prison system that should be addressed. Then their is the annual costs of babies born here to illegal immigrant woman. Only children of at least one citizen or naturalized American should be allowed instant citizenship, not an infant born of any illegal alien female? Immediately they can access every one of the 60 means tested benefits, for low income citizens.

Have you any idea of the price taxpayers will pay, for the hundreds of thousands of family members who can enter once sponsored under the family unification law? All the impoverished sick will descend on hospitals for dialysis and other acute illnesses, that will barrel the federal government into a financial crisis.

Only a very few of these people already here have a high school diploma, speak English or even understand our culture. The majority come here to work, not assimilate in the mainstream America like the immigrants of yesteryear. Billions of dollars are transfered to foreign banks each year, not into the nations treasuries to circulate throughout the population?

If our politicians just worked for the AMERICAN PEOPLE FOR A CHANGE and ignored the special interest lobby, they could enforce E-Verify on a national scale. Not voluntary but as a permanent application, for every worker new and longterm hires. Without much money being spent for deportation, the E-Verify tool would overtime start to extract illegal labor by ATTRITION! Illegal families would pack their possessions and leaving our country, making room in the workplace. Because E-Verify has a near a hundred percent success rate and working, the pariah employers who hire cheap labor are trying to kill it with the help of their associates in Washington. No illegal alien worker would show his face at the Social Security office, where rehiring issues could be resolved. Public spirited US workers could inform a well funded ICE and inform of illegal activity in their work location, for all those who seem to have something to hide.

AS illegal immigration is such a far reaching issue and contains so many traumatic relevant problems, including language, culture that effects all of us, there just isn't enough room to itemize everything that could be an irreversible impact on our daily lives? Read the answers at some of these websites including NUMBERSUSA, JUDICIAL WATCH, CAPSWEB, UNIPAC, AMERICANPATROL. and of course contacting your Senator and Congressman

One trillion sounds like a lot of money, but consider that we spend 2.4 trillion today and over 10 years that would be 24.0 trillion not factoring in the double digit inflation we have seen in the past decades

Evil, I think, is the absence of empathy.” Captain G. M. Gilbert, the Army psychologist , Nuremberg trails

“In my work with the defendants (at the Nuremberg Trails 1945-1949)
I was searching for the nature of evil and I now think I have come close to defining it. A lack of empathy. It’s the one characteristic that connects all the
defendants, a genuine incapacity to feel with their fellow men.

I really hope justice will be served and Chevron will have to pay for what it did to those poor people. Drinking water is contaminated, people are dying of cancer and skin diseases, their lives are destroyed. Denying, downplaying and manipulating- that’s all Chevron can do. Instead of wasting money fighting in courts, they should take responsibility and clean up that mess.
Here’s an interesting blog about the contamination: http://www.thechevronpit.blogspot.com
